Forever was when I fell in Love

I never knew love until I fell in love with you.
They said it was all roses and cherries so sweet.

But when I fell it hurt my heart
And forever bruised my knees.

Humanistic haste and romantic waste
Opened the door to the truth
Of this divine love we shared
As it emanated from our youth.

Time aged the soured bitter sweet
Then renewed in vows
Was our uniting as one
Bonds to which our hearts forgiveness allows.

You are still kissing my lips
Like dew on the flower's petals in mourn
Still the touch sincere
These vibrations physical attire adorned.

Replayed in my heart everyday
Are the moments we shared
No different today than yesterday
Is your face and the way you cared.

I still love you
My dear sweet man
No memory shall fade
And forever is God's plan.
